Coupon Organizing 101

I learned some tricks over the years that make it easy for me when I organize my coupons....however you may find a system that works better for you. This is just a suggestion!

Supplies you need:
3 ring binder - with pockets are better and if you find one that zips even better yet!
Divider Tabs
Baseball card holders
Pencil Bag
Stapler
Sissors
Calulator

Building a Binder (organizing it)

I will post pics later of my binder but here is how I set it up.
I take a 3 ring binder and fill it with baseball card holders, put the pencil bag in the front (as I go through the store I pull coupons and put them here and hold them for check out time) Use the dividers to catagorize the coupons - Some do it by isle, some by item type (can food, box food, cold food, ect.) and some alphabatize.

I personally have found that catagorizing works for me. As I put the coupons in the binder I put them where the expiration dates shows and the item. Makes it easy to glance at in the store.

Now for the clipping part- Everybody knows I get at LEAST 4 papers every Sunday. I take them out of the paper stack up the RP, SS and P&G in differenet piles. I then take the first RP and lay it out page 1, 2, 3, ect. Then take them together and staple them together and then cut them out (for me 4 at a time) all of the matching coupons at once. I leave them stapled together and put them in the binder stapled. I take the staple out when I use them - in the event of a drop and coupons go everywhere, you appreciate the staple!

This helps me save time - it takes no more time to cut 10 then to cut 1! Just be sure to cut a little away from the line, just in case all papers are not aligned properly, you sure don't want to cut off a bar code or expiration date.

I think I have covered everything! If you have any questions please email me at couponermom@gmail.com or ask on the blog! I am here to help.
Happy Shopping!
